If you are using the Tpad Softphone (BETA) then you may get connection / register / timeout problems depending on your Internet Setup.
So you can use this other Free Softphone (Xlite) and also the STUN Settings below:
Download and Setup Xlite:

STUN Settings - if error is still present:
You could try using the STUN server settings in Xlite, simply enter this value in the field shown:
1. Goto and Edit your SIP Account Properties
2. Select Topology Tab
3. STUN Server - Use specified Server:
4. Enter
stun.fwdnet.net:3478
OR
stun.tpad.com:3478
OR
stun.tpad.com:5060
5. Select OK and restart the phone.
Still Problems:
Then change the setting in Xlite
sip.tpad.com
to
sip.tpad.com:8891
or sip.tpad.com:80
This is a new port 8891 incase your default SIP Port of 5060 is blocked by your ISP. We also have other port 8791 and port 80.

What is STUN?
STUN is a client-server protocol. A VoIP phone or software package may include a STUN client, which will send a request to a STUN server. The server then reports back to the STUN client what the public IP address of the NAT router is, and what port was opened by the NAT to allow incoming traffic back in to the network.
